A garden in pots

Location:
Islington

Site description:
Small and rectangular area with a stunning view of London skyline

The brief:
The client required a minimal space to match with the Zen interior architecture

The design process:
The garden had the wall rendered in off white. Purple slates were used throughout the garden as coping, including table top for the barbecue area and in the long and straight line that travels the small space. Large and square planters were placed formally in the space where Buxus sempervirens were planted.

Major hardlandscape material:
purple slate, purple slate chipping and cedar decking

Major softlandscape material:
Buxus sempervirens
